Corrective Exercise

Corrective Exercise

What is Corrective Exercise?

Corrective Exercise is personal fitness training that emphasizes the correct neuromuscular activations.

It is the perfect choice if:

  • You want to reach your results of weight loss and performance while specifically improving the posture, alignment and function of your body.

  • You want to start a fitness program that focuses upon posture, alignment and optimal muscle activation.

  • You are completing physical therapy and want to make sure that you do not cause the same injury to recur in the future.

Corrective Exercise teaches you how to move with the correct muscles, enabling fluid joint movement and the potential avoidance of nearly any joint or muscle pain. With corrective exercise, you are less likely to use pain-relieving medications, and the likelihood for surgery is reduced. Corrective Exercise is the first step in reclaiming your vitality.

Why is Corrective Exercise Necessary

Why is Corrective Exercise Necessary

Why is Corrective exercise Necessary Today?

Corrective exercise is the no-side effect, long term solution.

Every movement, action or exercise that you do will either reinforce proper muscle activations or reinforce improper muscle activations. If your brain-body patterns happen to be optimal, this is good news, but if your habits tend to be sub-optimal, you have an injury waiting to happen.

Many people don't realize that we develop ingrained motor programs that sometimes aren’t optimal for function and fluid movement.  For example, modern humans now sit in chairs, which are a relatively recent invention along the scale of human history.  Click "Learn More" to understand the 4 most important tools in rebalancing your personal training program.

Why is Meditation Necessary Today?

The world is not going to go back to the times of our ancestors, but epigenetics research has shown that you can fast-track the skill of your mind to be able to focus in a manner that maintains your desired intentions, whatever those may be. Brain scan studies have shown anxiety as well as "incurable" illnesses to disappear just from meditation. And anyone who has crafted themselves a beautiful body knows that mental focus is the determining factor, above and beyond all other factors.

"It's the mind that really creates the body...It is the mind that visualizes what the body ought to look like as the finished product. The body is very important, but the mind is more important than the body." -Arnold Schwarzenegger

Two critical pieces of information that you should know:

  1. It has been said that today the human mind receives more information in one day than people in the early 1900's received in their entire lifetime.

  2. The human mind has been evolutionarily molded for survival, which required fixating on dangers. Our brains did not evolve to bask in peace of mind, optimism or vitality.

According to evolutionary biologists, when people are born in this day and age, our bodies and minds are actually most well-prepared for a world that existed about 30,000 years ago. In other words, our minds today have not yet evolved to be able to handle the information-overload, nor the extraordinary surge of incessant thought-driven fixations that have arisen in the last 100 years alone.

Meditation, or getting into the Flow or the Zone, in whatever manner works for you, is the only research-proven solution to this most significant problem of the 21st century. When and how will you begin your practice of mind-clearing or mind-focus?
